The Teapot
This is a story about a personal journey from a self-obsessed teapot to a loving and caring flowerpot. It has a beautiful message, particularly relevant to the competition and image driven culture, which presses on our children today. I re-wrote it in first person; and expanded it into a fuller story than the original.

The original title is 'It's Quite True'. Set on a poultry farm, this is a simple metaphor for the distorting effect of gossip and tell-tales, particularly relevant to the tabloid culture of today. I wrote it in verse, which, I hope, helps the clarity of its message.

The original title is Vaenoe & Glaenoe. The original story is about two imaginary islands off the coast of Denmark. I have used it to re-imagine the mystery of the Somerset coast; and to gently raise the curiosity about the relationship between nature and industry.
