My mum used to tell me stories. Some of them were by Hans Christian Andersen, but I didn't always know that.
When I chanced upon a collection of his classics, in my own motherhood, they all flooded back and I was compelled to breathe a new life into them. I chose some well known and some less known ones. You will recognise the images of The Princess On The Pea, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Match Girl and The Emperor's New Clothes, below. The Teapot is less known, while True Story and Avalon & Glaston are the new reincarnations of It's Quite True and Vaenoe & Glaenoe - quirky, little known Andersen's stories.
